Unlocking the potential of Ghost Taco

Introducing Ghost Taco’s first franchisee, Carmen Amato, who is prepared to open his inaugural location in Vaughan, Ontario. Carmen’s venture is a collaboration with an incredible high-end food market concept called Kitchen Hub, situated within select Longo’s locations. As Ghost Taco’s pioneering franchisee, Carmen embodies the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship that defines the brand.

Timing and a great concept are what drew me in to partner with Ghost Taco before they even opened their first brick & mortar! As a pop-up during Covid, Ghost Taco had already generated significant buzz with its creative approach to Mexican cuisine and commitment to quality. Grant and Samantha who founded Ghost Taco have passion for food and community which resonated with me. I saw tremendous potential for growth and success in bringing this unique concept to new markets. Additionally, the support and resources provided by the Ghost Taco team further convinced me of the franchise’s viability and potential for long-term success.

Being a first time business owner, there are a few challenges. One being, finding the right location that aligns with our brand image and target demographic while also being financially feasible. This required thorough market research, negotiation skills, and flexibility in exploring different options until finding the perfect fit. Other challenges are getting everything setup ie accounts, suppliers, staffing and proper training. To overcome these challenges, you need patience, to be well organized, support from the franchisor, and a level head. No need to over react, just relax and tackle each situation as they come and enjoy the journey, everything will get done!

I chose Ghost Taco over other opportunities because Ghost Taco stands out in the franchise industry due to its innovative and chef inspired approach to “Unauthentic” Mexican cuisine. With its unique twists and fresh ingredients, it separates us from the competition. Our commitment to quality extends beyond our food to encompass exceptional customer service, community involvement and a must-go-to local eatery.

I will be opening my first two franchises with Ghost Taco within the same year. The prospect of expanding to a second location so soon after the first opening is incredibly exciting for several reasons. Firstly, it signifies the success and validation of our concept and business model. The fact that we’re already considering expansion speaks volumes about the positive reception and demand for Ghost Taco in the market. Secondly, opening a second location allows us to reach new customers and broaden our brand presence. It’s an opportunity to introduce even more people to our unique flavour, and potentially attracting a diverse range of customers and building a loyal following in another area. Overall, the prospect of expanding to a second location represents growth, opportunity, and the fulfillment of our vision for Ghost Taco. It’s an exhilarating step forward in our journey, and I can’t wait to see the impact we’ll make in our new community.

Successful franchises have one thing in common, they strategically locate operations to attract customers and build brand awareness. Along with the Ghost Taco team we have identified certain markets and I’m very pleased with the locations we have secured. Yes, location is vital but delivering exceptional food, service, and experiences, will attract and retain loyal customers, thereby expanding the brand presence and contributing to our overall growth and success.
