Leading learn-to-swim provider, British Swim School, is making waves with the launch of its Swim Pink initiative throughout September and October. Acknowledging Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it is joining families across its communities to honour those affected by breast cancer, celebrate survivors and remember those who have been lost.

As part of the campaign it is offering limited-edition Swim Pink long-sleeve shirts through September 28th – the proceeds benefitting Pink Pearl Canada, which supports and empowers self-identifying young women between the ages of 18 and 40 who are facing cancer.

Throughout October, meanwhile, British Swim School locations will Paint the Pool Deck Pink, with teams, swimmers and families encouraged to wear their Swim Pink shirts and show their support. Families visiting participating British Swim School locations can also take part by adding a dedication to the Swimming for Someone Special Wall, honouring a loved one, survivor or someone they have lost to cancer.

“Safety starts with awareness, whether we are teaching a child their first water safety skill or coming together as a community to support families affected by cancer,” said Ashley Gundlach, President of British Swim School. “Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are proud to honour those affected by breast cancer, celebrate survivors and remember those we have lost. Through Swim Pink, we are proud to support Pink Pearl Canada and help create a stronger sense of community for young women and families affected by cancer.
