Franchising is becoming an increasingly global industry. As brands look beyond domestic expansion, media platforms and industry events are also evolving to support stronger international collaboration between franchisors, suppliers and entrepreneurs.
Elite Franchise is now doubling down on that international strategy with the promotion of Jodie Marsh to commercial director, international.
Marsh will now oversee commercial operations across both the UK and Canadian Elite Franchise businesses following a successful two-year period leading the UK division.
Canada expansion gains momentum
The expanded international role comes as Elite Franchise Canada continues to experience growing engagement across its awards and events activity. Following a strong increase in new entries and interest from franchise brands across the country, the EF100 Canada National Awards program will officially open on July 6.

Since stepping into the UK commercial director role, Marsh has helped drive the growth of Elite Franchise’s media and events presence, including the launch of Elite Franchise Live. The event has quickly become a major event within the UK franchise industry, bringing together franchisors, franchisees and suppliers through education, networking and industry insight.

Her promotion also follows recent recognition from EWIF, where Marsh secured the Supplier of the Year Award for her contribution to the franchise industry and continued support of franchise businesses across the sector.
Under the expanded international role, Marsh will now focus on growing strategic partnerships, strengthening audience engagement and supporting further development opportunities between the UK and Canadian franchise communities.
Strengthening international partnerships
Scott English, global director of Elite Franchise, said: “Jodie’s impact on the Elite Franchise brand has been exceptional. She combines commercial expertise with genuine passion for the franchise sector and has played a major role in building stronger engagement across our platforms and events. As we continue growing internationally, having Jodie lead across both the UK and Canada puts us in an incredibly strong position for the future.”
Marsh said she was excited by the opportunity to help connect both markets more closely.
“Franchising thrives on relationships and community, and that’s something we’ve worked incredibly hard to build in the UK over the past few years. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved so far, particularly with Elite Franchise Live, and I’m excited to now bring that same energy and collaboration to the Canadian market. There is significant potential to build stronger international connections across the franchise industry.”
Elite Franchise is also exploring the possibility of launching Elite Franchise Live in Canada as part of its broader international expansion plans.
The EF100 Canada National Awards program opens on July 6 following increased demand and rising participation from franchise brands nationwide.
