Entrepreneurial ambition surges in Canada

Franchising in Canada is bridging the gap by offering entrepreneurs a proven model and pathway to success. As the 12th largest industry it offers Canadians a pathway to business ownership with lower risks, stronger support, and higher survival rates than independent startups.

The upcoming Franchise Canada Show, running from October 25-26 at Toronto Congress Centre – and presented by the Canadian Franchise Association – is more than just a tradeshow. It’s a reflection of how Canadians are actively reshaping their careers in the face of economic uncertainty, job restructuring, and the rising cost of living.

If you’d like to connect with a CFA spokesperson they can provide further insight on:

  • Entrepreneurship rising: Nearly 6 in 10 Canadians dream of owning a business
  • Young Canadians leading the shift: 33% of prospective franchisees at the show are aged 31–40
  • Level of franchise investment: 67% of attendees are ready to invest within 6–12 months, and 5% have $1M+ to invest
  • CFA credibility: Every exhibitor is a CFA member, committed to ethics, education, and excellence
