The International Franchise Association (IFA) has announced a new partnership with global events organizer Fortem International to create the world’s largest franchise exhibition. The inaugural event, The IFA World Franchise Show, will take place at the Miami Beach Convention Center May 9-10, 2025, showcasing hundreds of franchise brands to provide education and connect them with prospective entrepreneurs across the world.

Aimed at building the world’s largest event to drive growth of the franchise sector in the U.S. and internationally the partnership seeks to foster innovation and connections – showcasing the strength of franchising in the U.S. and its potential to a worldwide audience, according to Matthew Haller, IFA president and CEO.

“With a new innovative format and unmatched education and professional development opportunities, this event will bring together even more of the greatest brands in franchising, supplier experts who are committed to our mission, and aspiring small business owners to pursue their dreams of franchise ownership,” said Haller, adding: “We look forward to partnering with Fortem so we can further expand the opportunities created by franchising and bring these incredible businesses to more people here in the U.S. and around the world.”

As Nick Moss, Founder of Fortem International also put it “This exhibition will establish a new standard for franchise events, providing exceptional value and opportunities for success within the industry and a variety of new elements to enhance the overall experience for all participants.”

Established in 1961,  the IFA is the world’s oldest and largest organization representing franchising worldwide.

It works through government relations and public policy, media relations, and educational programs to protect, enhance and promote franchising, including the approximately 806,270 franchise establishments that support nearly 8.7 million direct jobs, $858.5 billion of economic output for the U.S. economy, and almost 3 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

IFA members include franchise companies in over 300 different business format categories, individual franchisees, and companies that support the industry in marketing, law, technology, and business development.
