Brian Bazely is the founder and director of Bazely Consulting, one of the most sought after strategic franchise consulting firms in Canada. Brian has been involved in franchising since 2007 where he joined Anytime Fitness as a franchisee. He eventually went on to consult with the franchisor, leading the growth of Anytime Fitness in Canada, a role that he held for 6 years. In 2012, Brian co-founded Driverseat, a successful transportation franchise brand that opened locations across Canada and in many U.S. states. Brian remained co-founder and CEO of his brand for 12 years until selling the business to his partner Luke.
Brian’s business journey began in his early 20’s, when he was named as one of the youngest C-suite executives in Canada. Brian took on strategic leadership roles with several tier-one organizations, where his leadership and desire to have strong performing teams matured. This made the transition to franchising seamless as his past experience and appreciation for leading large teams complimented his entrepreneurial spirit.
Brian’s passion for franchising and helping others succeed led him to starting his consulting firm. Brian’s main vertical is in helping businesses franchise their business, teaching them how to properly architect and design their franchise business. In addition to that, Brian works with many franchise brands, leading them to strategically improve their business. Brian is a frequent keynote or guest speaker at franchisor conferences, association conferences and at industry events. In 2024, Brian was the keynote speaker at Let’s Grow Canada.
Brian is an award winning leader. As a franchisee, Brian won top awards globally for top ownership performance, team culture and community outreach. As a franchisor, Brian and his team received top ratings from franchisees for 8 consecutive years, being named the top franchise brand (non-traditional) for two of those years. In addition, his company was named top company for Diversity and Inclusion, something that Brian is very ardent about.
Brian is an active member of the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA), where he held volunteer positions with the conference committee, as vice-chair of the annual conference and the following year, as chair of the conference. Brian received recognition as a top recruiter to the CFA in 2025 as he continued to help businesses franchise and with that, join the CFA.
