Creams Cafe has announced plans for international expansion, signing a master franchise agreement with Intercopper Co to bring the Creams brand to Greece and Cyprus.
The brand is aiming to open its first store in Athens by the end of the year, with a site search already underway. A further nine locations are targeted across the region by the end of 2030, as the chain seeks to capitalise on the booming popularity of dessert parlours in the Mediterranean market.
Founded in 2008, Creams Cafe is the UK’s leading dessert chain. With Greece and Cyprus offering a warm climate and high tourist footfall, the company believes the region represents a significant growth opportunity. Together with Intercopper Co’s existing operational expertise and understanding of the local hospitality market, the partnership is positioned to move quickly.
Everett Fieldgate, CEO of Creams Cafe, said: “International expansion has always been the ambition for us at Creams Cafe, and we are thrilled to have reached this milestone in our journey. Greece and Cyprus are an immensely exciting market to enter, and one which suits our product offering and brand exceptionally well. We are excited to open our first international store at the end of this year.”
New franchise partner Frangiskos Hadjihannas added: “I am very excited to open the first international Creams Cafe and become part of the Creams family. Creams Cafe has a very strong brand and a unique product offering that will be a good fit for this market, and I am confident that the people of Greece and Cyprus, whether tourists or locals, will be delighted to enjoy what Creams has to offer.”
The expansion marks a significant step in Creams Cafe’s broader international growth strategy, following its established presence across the UK.
